Our Shoe Shanks are perfectly hardened and tempered . Every single piece of Shoe Shank is being inspected for Moulding and Shape before packing. APPLICATIONS:
The shank is a piece of metal with a slight arch and is embedded in the middle of the sole of shoes and boots. It is located above the outer sole at the waist (the waist is the narrow part of the shoe, located between the heel and toe and just underneath the arch) of the shoe to add support to the arch. The purpose is to prevent that part of the footwear from bending in that specific spot.
